Social nu este o destinatie, este o experienta

Un line-up pe care l-am auzit zilele trecute  la SMILELondon, o conferinta despre comunicarea interna organizata de Simply Communicate. Mi-au placut mult prezentarile care mi-au demonstrat inca odata ca social enterprise nu inseamna folosirea device-urilor pentru content si atingerea audientei, e ceva ce tine de bussiness value. Ceea ce mi-a retinut atentia in mod deosebit este afirmatia celor de la Grundfos, o intreprindere cu 18000 de angajati, conform careia Community Manager va fi o abilitate pentru leadership-ul viitor.

Highlights:

  • stories are key when measuring the success of an Enterprise Social Network
  • most companies are using sharepoint and yammer as their internal social networks
  • European Commission: “Yammer allows users to post in their native tongue, making our social network fun & easy to use”
  • crowd sourcing as a great method to solve problems and find solutions through getting ideas from staff

  • middle managers are the biggest blocker to social. Last year it was trust and business risk
  • 4 types of mobile worker: information, task, wannabe, mavericks.

Ce poate schimba o cultura organizationala?

Toamna trecuta ma aflam la Londra, la un seminar de analiza organizationala. Cineva din auditoriu a intrebat cum poti schimba cultura unei organizatii? Pana la momentul acela eram obisnuita cu intrebarea: Cum creezi o cultura organizationala de succes?  Imi parea destul de complex sa incerci sa schimbi cultura unei companii. Si este.

Atunci cand te confrunti cu pierderea unor angajati foarte buni in scurt timp, cu un personal deprimat, critici, este absolut necesar sa schimbi ceva in organizatie. Dar ce  anume schimba o cultura? Deocamdata nimeni nu stie. Apar o serie de tactici prin care sa-ti imbunatatesti comunicarea cu angajatii, ii duci la un film, creezi evenimente interne, programe de training. Dar comunicarea e doar o parte din cultura. De ea mai tine si performanta, venitul financiar, leadership-ul.

Cred ca schimbarea unei culturi organizationale se poate face printr-o persoana puternica care va actiona diferit fata de vechile norme de lucru, cu o viziune noua despre companie. Un exemplu bun ar putea fi Yahoo!, odata cu venirea Marissei Mayer ca si CEO. (5 ways Mayer’s trying ti kick start the Yahoo! Culture)

Enterprise Social Networking

Prima data am auzit de acest concept la un seminar, la Londra, in cadrul cursului de analiza organizationala. Nikos Drakos, director de cercetare la Gartner Research, declara  ca pana in 2015 40%  din enterprise social networking va cuprinde  un fel de Facebook corporatist.

Enterprise social networking, parte din social business,  permite angajatilor sa se conecteze printr-un software  si social media pentru a comunica in beneficiul lor sau al organizatiei. Coca Cola are Chatter, IBM - Ovum, Microsoft - Yammer.

Conform IDC primul obiectiv in social business pe 2013 este comunitatea online. Pentru a tine pasul, spune Drakos, companiile trebuie sa investeasca in platforme sociale, altfel risca sa piarda din productivitate, inovatie si cultura.

O imagine valoreaza cat o mie de cuvinte. In social media valoarea imaginii depaseste o mie de cuvinte,  conform ROI Research. Oamenilor le place tot ceea ce inseamna vizual: imaginile interactive, infograficele. Live video-urile devin din ce in ce mai importante: sunt fereastra spre lume! (CIPR)

Comunicatorilor, folositi multimedia pentru a primi raspuns si pentru interactiune! Un articol foarte interesant din Forbes ne da trei exemple cum unele companii “inteligente” se folosesc de vizual in social media.
